If you are travelling from Colombo you can take a train ride from Colombo Fort to Jaffna. It will be between 7-8 hours ride and will be scenic. After you arrive in Jaffna city, can hire taxi or use local transport to get to the Karainagar Beach. It will be around 30 minutes’ drive.
You can board the long distance buses from Colombo to Jaffna. It will be around 10-12 hors drive. When you arrive in Jaffna you will then use local transport like local buses or tuk-tuks to reach Karainagar beach.
You can rent a car and drive to Karainagar beach from any part in Sri Lanka. If you are driving from Colombo, it will be around 9-10 hours’ drive.
