There are 5 types of room categories available in the Heritance Tea Factory. These rooms vary according to room size and other amenities.

Superior Room

There are three types of superior room categories. The room sizes are as below,

All these rooms have amazing views of the beautiful tea plantations and views of the nearby local villages. Some rooms also have sights of the Hindu Kovils closeby. The room includes a king sized bed, en-suite bathroom and other amenities. The beds come as both king sized beds or Twin sized beds.

Executive Floor Deluxe

Room Size: 215.30 sq.ft.
These rooms are located on a higher floor than the superior category. This category has beautiful views of the tea covered mountain ranges. It includes a King sized bed, en-suite bathroom, lounge area and other amenities.

These rooms offer a dynamic blend of old colonial elegance and modernity. The old wood decor adds a touch of regality to this room. You can enjoy a warm sip of tea with a beautiful view outside of your window.

Junior suite

Junior Suite King - 495.14 sq.ft.

This room category is located on the Executive Floor. This has panoramic views of the green tea estates. The room setup includes a king size bed, en-suite bathroom and other amenities. This category also has a private dining room setup. You can enjoy a warm meal at the comfort of your room overlooking the beautiful views. The colonial furnishing will make your suite perfect for the elegant Nuwara Eliya.

Flowerdew Suite

This is the highest rated room at the Heritance Tea Factory Hotel. It is located 2 km above sea level. This offers the guests of this room with unbeatable views of breathtaking landscapes in Nuwara Eliya.

It offers panoramic views of the Ragala and Randenigala reservoir as well. The suite is named after W. Flowerdew who was the first planter proprietor and resident manager of Hethersett Estate.The suite also includes a private jacuzzi, king-size bed, modern amenities, a wine cabinet and beautifully set private living and dining room.

The hotel is located in Kandapola. This is closeby to Nuwara Eliya. It is 220 km away from the city of colombo. Once you arrive at Nuwara Eliya, you can take the Udappusalawa road, which will lead to Kandapola. The hotel is 3 km from Kandapola. You can enjoy beautiful views of the lush tea plantations on the side of the road. You can even roll down the windows of your vehicle and experience the cool breeze as you make your way to the hotel.

Executive floor deluxe room is priced at 77,177 LKR + 22,999 LKR with taxes and charges. Luxury rooms have contemporary amenities. Horton Plains

Set 30 km away from the hotel, this is a national park in Sri Lanka. It has a unique ecosystem with rich biodiversity. Some of the key attractions include World’s End and Baker’s Falls. The World’s End is a sheer precipice with an 870-meter drop. The park is the origin of three major rivers – Mahaweli, Kelani, and Walawe. Horton Plains is home to many wild life like elks,deer,giant squirrel and even leopards.

Gregory Lake

This is a beautiful park located in the heart of Nuwara Eliya. You can enjoy the lake by taking a leisure walk and taking beautiful pictures of the alluring views. There are so many activities available here. These include horse riding, boating in the lake or even bicycle riding.There are even Jet Ski rides now available here. The setting of this lake also gives good photo backgrounds. The park area has many snack shops which will be nice during the cold weather.

You can visit Ella and see the Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak and Ravana Waterfalls during your stay at Heritance Tea Factory. This is a favorite of many tourists to Sri lanka . This is roughly 76 km away from the Heritance Tea Factory hotel.

This is one of the famous malls in Sri Lanka. There are many international brands here like Adidas, The Body Shop, Charles and Keith, Sketchers and many more. The top floor has a food court, gaming area and a cinema. You can do some shopping and have a taste of different cuisines from various types of shops.

You can learn about the history of tea making with this short tour. There is a Mini Heritance Tea factory within the hotel premises. This is complimentary for in-house guests. You will be guided with a friendly and informative guide. This will help you appreciate the unique taste of tea even more.

Tea Tasting

The hotel will organize this with an experienced tea taster. You will be able to taste different types of tea and understand the differences between them. A minimum of 2 people are required for this session.

Tea Plucking

This is a very unique experience offered by the Heritance Tea Factory. You will be accompanied by some professional tea pluckers through this. You will be dressed in a traditional attire as you experience this.

High Tea experience

How to get to the Hotel?

Getting to the Heritance tea factory is an enjoyable journey. It is located in the beautiful Nuwara Eliya in the hill country. It will take six hours to come to Nuwaraeliya from Colombo by road. It will take 45 minutes to come to the hotel by road from Nuwara Eliya.

One of my favourite restaurants ,,,Noodles at Cinnamon Grand.... Best place for mouthwatering food. Staff is friendly and helpful and kudos to the service given by Ms. Dilrukshi. Keep up the good service girl. Best place to have Noodles and the Lava cake as well as the shanghai noodle + Pepper Calamari are must try food. Enjoyed a lot as usual...

I recently hosted a birthday party at the Tea Lounge with some close friends & family. Mr Milan was there to oversee everything and ensured that it ran smoothly. We had High Tea, and different varieties of bites were offered on platters. The organization was top-notch. I highly recommend this place.

Truly a five star hotel! The service is amazing - every staff member is unfailingly polite and focused on your comfort. (I wish I could give 10 stars for service!) All the facilities are beautiful, well-organized, and sparkling clean. The restaurants feature all kinds of food to please every palate. (Don't miss Lagoon tho!) And the people-watching is fantastic: During our ten-day stay, the CG hosted at least six weddings. One day even saw the President of Sri Lanka giving a press conference! Cannot recommend highly enough - for business or pleasure.
