1. Arabiers Payment Policy 2022, Update version 1.15.1

Arabiers only accepts payments through bank transfer, in person at our office, or through our online payment methods. Customers are not permitted to make payments to Arabiers' employees in cash or through their bank accounts; Arabiers will not honour any claims made by such customers. Arabiers' accounts will generate invoices for the services rendered. Sri Lankans are strongly advised to make financial transactions using the Arabiers' business account or payment connection rather than cash.

Online Payment System

We use Webxpay, which was Sri Lanka's first online payment aggregator/payment gateway when it started up in 2015. Since then, it has worked with the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to help small and medium-sized businesses accept digital payments. WEBXPAY is now linked to many different payment systems worldwide, such as Visa, MasterCard, China Union Pay, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club. We also accept local payment methods like Upay, Ezcash, Mcash, and Sampath Viswa, in addition to DFCC's virtual wallet, FriMi.

2. Visa services and terms 2022, Update version 1.11.1

  • We usually receive a high volume of visa applications every day, and occasionally an application or traveller will run into problems due to technical difficulties with the immigration system. Airports, ports, entry points, and various immigration offices are part of the intricate immigration system. Therefore getting a flight ticket after your visa has been accepted is strongly recommended in case any unforeseen technical difficulties arise and necessitate a change. If your immigration application encounters technical difficulties, you must visit the office and personally wait a few days.
  • The approval of your visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Authority, and rejections are based on their decisions. There is no provision for a refund if your visa is denied. Because of certain holiday periods such as holidays, Eid and Islamic festivals, New Year's, and Christmas, the Immigration Authority will be busy, and the system will be slow. For this reason, we ask that you apply for visas as early as possible. We will not be responsible for any missed flights, altered travel itineraries, or fines incurred for overstaying fines.
  • Please let us know as soon as possible if an applicant's residence visa is cancelled or if they experience problems with their bank so that we can avoid processing delays. Moreover, the immigration system can run into problems with a person's previous entry and exit records, which can cause delays in the processing of applications.
  • You must have a passport that will remain valid for your trip. (Passports must be valid for at least a specified amount of time after returning from your trip; in most cases, this is six months). It is your obligation to find out if a visa is necessary for your trip before you go. When making a reservation with us, you must verify and make sure that the name on the reservation exactly matches the name on the passport of the person(s) for whom the reservation is being made. If you or we (or our agents or servants) incur any cost, loss, or damage due to your failure to travel with the appropriate paperwork, you will be solely responsible for such cost, loss, or damage.
  • At some airports, passengers may have to pay an airport departure tax, often collected at the airport. You are the only one responsible for discovering these extra costs, as they are not included in the fares we quote.
  • Talk to your doctor to find out if immunizations are recommended or required for your final destination or any places you will be stopping. We think every trip outside the country should come with the right kind of travel insurance. You should know that the information and advice in the "Health and travel" section are meant to be used as a general guide and are not made for you or your specific situation. All of the information in the health and travel section is there to give you general information. It is not meant to replace the medical advice you can get from your doctor or another qualified medical professional. We are not responsible for any diagnosis you may have made on your own based on the information in our health and travel section, and we limit our responsibility as much as the law lets us. You should never be afraid to make an appointment with your primary care doctor if you are worried about your health, flying, or the countries you will visit on your trip.

3. Flight booking services terms, Update version 1.12.1

  • If you need to change your reservation or cancel it entirely, contact a travel expert from Arabiers as soon as possible. Each airline's terms and conditions, as well as the general conditions of transport and any fees that may be applicable, apply to all reservations, including changes and cancellations (including, but not limited to, fare rules of the ticket and Guest Service Fee).
  • The fees for changing your reservation are different for each flight. You will not receive a refund if you choose a nonrefundable ticket during the booking process.
  • The policies regarding refunds differ depending on the airline that you select. It can take 30 to 60 working days, and Arabiers are not liable for airline delays.

4. Tours terms

  • Make sure to counter-check that the names, dates and timing are correct on Arabiers receipt of all documents. If anything is incorrect, inform us immediately. We will not charge you anything to make changes, but you will be liable for any fees the supplier charges. You should make sure the name you give is as it appears in the relevant passport.
  • You may wish to purchase flights, hotel booking, car rentals, transfers, or other services via Arabiers. You should be aware that Arabiers cannot handle each component individually and that separate third-party providers handle certain components of the package you have selected. Your agreement will be made not with us but rather with each of the individual suppliers. As a travel agency, we do not assume any liability for the provider's actions or omissions, nor take any responsibility for the services the supplier provides. Yet, the Package Travel Rules may consider the combination of travel services that you book with us to be a package for which we are accountable as the package organizer. This will depend on the specific arrangements that you buy with us.
  • If there are any changes or cancellations, we will let you know as soon as it is practicable to do so. If the supplier is willing to make alternative arrangements or issue a refund, you must communicate your preference to us within the specified time. If you don't do that, the supplier has the right to presume that you want a complete refund on the purchase you made from them. We take no liability for any changes or cancellations made to your arrangements by the supplier by your contract with them, except in situations in which we act as package organizers.
  • Accommodation ratings are shown in conformity with the information provided by hotels. They are meant to provide an overview of your hotel's amenities and services. In addition to regional variations, rating systems and standards may also differ between suppliers. We make no warranties, express or implied, on the reliability of any ratings provided.

5. General Terms

We strongly urge all Sri Lankans to be more careful regarding cons. As a result of the experiences that we've had in the past, we know that any member of our staff can perpetrate the cons.
